Meg Fortenberry brings a unique blend of financial expertise and artistic flair to her role as Choreographer of Account Success at Journey Beyond Wealth. With a background that's as diverse as it is impressive, Meg's journey is anything but ordinary.

 

A graduate of Birmingham-Southern College, Meg earned her bachelor's degree in Visual and Performing Arts, graduating Magna Cum Laude. But don't let the artsy degree fool you - she's got serious financial chops too. Meg previously held Series 7 and Series 66 licenses for brokerage services, proving she can pirouette through complex financial regulations with grace.

 

Before joining Journey Beyond Wealth, Meg spent over six years as a Senior Associate and Account Manager at Diversified Trust in Nashville. There, she mastered the art of juggling multiple responsibilities, from managing client accounts to ensuring compliance procedures were followed with the precision of a well-choreographed dance routine.

 

But Meg's talents extend far beyond the boardroom. With over 35 years of classical ballet training under her belt, she's as comfortable in pointe shoes as she is in power suits. In addition to her day job, She currently teaches ballet and theater in Lebanon, TN, sharing her passion for the arts with the next generation of performers.

 

When she's not crunching client data or perfecting pirouettes, Meg is a devoted homeschooling mom to two beautiful girls and wife to her husband Chadwick. She believes strongly in the power of the arts to build confidence, a philosophy she applies both to her own children and the hundreds of kids she's had the privilege to teach.

 

At Journey Beyond Wealth, Meg combines her financial acumen with her creative spirit, ensuring that client success is always center stage. With her unique background, she brings a fresh perspective to financial management, proving that sometimes the best financial choreography comes from thinking outside the box.

  • What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

    I’m actually a classically trained ballerina. Dancing is a huge stress reliever for me.

  • Cats or dogs?

    Dogs hands down. We have a shitzu we adopted a few years ago named, Fluffy. She’s the perfect addition to our family.

  • We'll find you rooting for what team?

    I grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I’m not a huge sports fan, but definitely root for the Crimson Tide.

  • Beach or mountains?

    I used to be a beach babe, but as I’ve gotten older, I absolutely looooove the mountains. My favorite time is fall in the mountains and seeing all the beautiful colors of the season.

  • Early riser or night owl??

    I’m more of an early riser these days. I love the quiet and peacefulness of the morning. I always try to beat my kids up to have the first cup of coffee on my own. Coffee is a must in my house!
